The innovative SpeedCutting technology of the HBM440A high-speed saw series allows process-reliable cutting performance that was previously unthinkable. The HBM440A shows its full potential especially when sawing tool steels to stainless steels or high-alloy materials such as Inconel or Titanium. The production bandsaw thus covers a wide range of applications in industry and the steel trade. Thanks to the combination of a powerful machine base, modern servo technology, innovative cooling system and process-reliable chip disposal, the HBM440A gets the maximum out of the tool used - regardless of whether it is a carbide or bi-metal blade.

*Saw frame stress free, cast iron. Travels up and down on two linear ways with 4 linear bearings.
*Blade guiding by double rollers and hydraulically tensioned carbide guides.
*Blade tension monitoring with automatic tension relief when machine is stopped, blade breaks or slips. 
*Screw servo-downfeed system with cutting pressure control increases the cutting performance when round solids and profiles, as it automatically adjusts the downfeed according to the change in material cross sections.
*Infeed magazine with chains and remnant storage area for flat and round bars fully integrated into the into the sawing process. Round material: 1.4" - 17.3", Flat material: 1.6" x 1.4" - 15.7" x 15.7", Length of bars 23.6" - 244", Max weight of bars: 900 lbs/ft.
*13.8' heavy duty powered input roller conveyor includes frequency controlled forward and reverse gear motor. Five hydraulically retractable vertical guiding rollers 9" tall, photo cells at the end of the roller conveyor to stop material in manual and automatic operation.
*Infeed magazine storage area: Five driven transfer chains, storage depth: 118", Chain drive: 6.7 H.P., Transport speed: 10 ft/min, Working height: 41".
*Automatic delivery to the infeed roller conveyor: Additional lifting chains automatically transfer round or flat material from the chain magazine to the infeed roller conveyor or to the remnant storage area.
*Remnant storage area: Five driven material transfer chains, Storage depth: 59", Chain drive: 6.7 H.P., Transport speed: 10 ft/min, Working height: 41"
*Automatic bar change recognizes material edge and precise positioning for the cut-off for bars.
*Output sorting unit: Hydraulic output gripper pulls cut-off parts, trim cuts and short remnant pieces away from the cutting area and lays them down on a roller conveyor with non-driven rollers. Parts are automatically pushed to either side of the output roller conveyor and collected in containers or deposited onto a table. The storage positions can be programmed according to the container size. For long and heavy cut-off pieces there is a "slab storage" area
