Looking for a Slitting Machine. We are exploring the possibility of doing our own slitting in house. The machine would be used to slit the same product over and over. Can be older machine without any bells and whistles. Just functional. We are a maching shop and would be able to care for machine ourself. The specification of the material I am looking for is as follows. Alloy 3003, or equivalent. Comely referred to as fin stock. Temper is 0 or what is called dead soft. The width of the strip is 2.375 inches (60.32mm). The thickness is .005 inches (.1397mm). The coils as provided should have a core diameter of approximately 12 inches (304mm) and the maximum coil diameter should not be any greater than 35 inches (914mm). Regarding the coil diameter the ideal diameter is 32inches plus or minus 2 inches. I would be ordering as much as 40,000 pounds per month. We also use another thickness, which is .0038 inches (.0952mm). All other specifications remain as above.
